· Data Gathering – Which Records and Why, Radiography in Implantology and Additional Training Requirements.
· Treatment Planning – Design, Staging, Mentor Involvement, Consent, and Further Investigations.
Introduction to Implantology
· Terminology and Foundational Implantology - Glossary of Terms, Design Choices and Variations.
· Stages of Implant Dentistry - Placement Strategies, Provisionalisation Styles, Transitional Restorations.
Introduction to Basic Surgical Techniques, Atraumatic Extractions and Ridge Preservation
· Surgical Techniques – Asepsis and Surgery Set Up, Suturing Strategies, Atraumatic Extraction Techniques.
· Ridge Preservation - The Principle, The Indications, The Technique and the Limitations.
After these two days, delegates will be confident to start finding implant patients and assess them appropriately tin order to plan effectively and safely. They will also be able to carry out solo stabilisation of the patient, in preparation for implant placements.
